This truck I’m thinking about buying is in about as nice a condition as any I’ve seen in this price range.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Has transmission issues — “falls out of first gear” — which is kind of a bonus since that gives me an excuse to try swapping the transmission.
Between the transmission problem and it being up for a month while the seller says they’re moving out of state, I’m hoping to talk him down to ~$800.
What do y’all think?

$800 is fair. I’m on the other side of the country or else I’d be selling you mine ;)

This is the exact type of truck I want. Something to just sit on a battery tender for when I need to do truck stuff. Something that can be fixed for pennies and costs $15/month to insure.

price is right...
depends on how good you are at fixing it yourself me thinks
1700 spent over the last 2 years and still somewhat broken says to me... eh... you wanna be able to wrench yourself

Buy it, lower it, put in an Astro transmission and transfer case. Throw a turbo at it. Enjoy your Syclone.

The main reason I’m buying a beater truck is to get practice wrenching. It’s not gonna be my main (or even backup) means of transportation.
